Olivia saw two news articles within a month or so of each other--one with young, angry boys throwing stones in violent actions; the second one was of sad, spiritual women, who were mourning the death of a woman. The images showed such a contrast in actions of young boys and women that they stayed in Olivia's head until she painted this composite painting of them.
