From the moment Olivia saw Richard Sexton's photograph of an oak in Pointe Coupee Parish, the cover photo of the book New Roads and Old Rivers, she wanted to paint it.  This is her homage to the lovely photo by Sexton, who kindly agreed to allow her to paint it.
